4 things i’m doing MORE of in 2024
Now that I’ve showed you 4 things I'm doing less of this year, I wanted to show the opposite—4 things more! This has been a fun little thing to do & I challenge you to do the same!
Alright, let’s get into it!
4 things i’m doing more of in 2024
1. Lymphatic drainage. Is this something you haven't really heard about? Or know how to do properly? Ya, that was me too! The lymph system helps clean up debris, but if this system is not pumping properly (and it only moves when we manually move it), then you have stagnation, which is not great for your body. This is why I fell in love with properly pumping the lymph system & something I now do daily. I have videos here & here on how to drain head, neck & upper body (lower body video coming soon!) & a dry brushing tutorial/highlight here (because I was doing it all wrong!). And just in case you want some easy ways to get your lymph moving, here are a few:
✨ working out/moving your body/dancing (like no one's watching!)
✨rebounding (or jumping on a trampoline)
✨deep breathing (think: expanding belly out and down on inhale)
Plus, some reasons why you might want to move the lymph:
BENEFITS OF LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
removal of waste & toxins
reduction in fluid retention/swelling
more energy
sleeping better
improved circulation
improved immune function
improvement in hormones (estrogen & progesterone)
reduce stress, depression, & anxiety
relieve allergies, sinus infection & congestion
proper cellular function (not having premature cell death)
2. Connecting with Universe/God/Whatever you call it! I love this one because it's almost like a fun challenge each day/week to see how the universe has your back! This could look ANY way you want it to. My biggest connector right now is with angel numbers - and specifically 221 (I also count seeing (backwards) 122 for this), or more recently 112, but really just '1' & '2' in general are strong numbers for me. (I also have a super cool story here about a yellow bird - so whatever you choose as your connector, you'll know what's right for you.) Here are just a few examples of how these numbers showed up for me yesterday alone:
3. Nourishing food, drinks, and supplements. This one is super important to me. I think motherhood can really deplete you + did you know that postpartum can extend up to 8 years? I believe it & why I'm really supporting my body from the inside out. This is why I focus on how I start the day (aka laying the foundation). It usually begins with slightly warmed lemon water with shilajit (which gives you all your trace minerals), then a tbsp of fresh spirulina with vitamin C mixed in a bit of juice, and then amino acids (I was definitely needing some more support there).
Then for the past 4 months I decided I really wanted to deeply nourish my body, so I've added in Needed supplements (GLOWWITHCHAR gets you 20% off your first month). I started out taking the essentials (3 caps/day), but for the last month switched to the prenatal (8 caps/day) because I truly feel like my body still needs that extra support (and NOT because I'm trying to get pregnant lol). They also recently launched a Cognitive Support supplement, so I've been testing that out the last week. Does it work? Let's just say I went to bed the other night thinking about something I had to tell my husband, then I woke up remembering it AND actually told him! I feel like that's a huge win! I'm also taking things like: glutathione, creatine, magnesium, and electrolytes!
4. JOY. What's the point of this life if not to enjoy it? I'm interpreting this as literally anything that brings me joy... an amazing morning bevy (matcha or coffee/herbal coffee blend), taking my kids to Universal, date nights with my hubby, reading a few pages of a book, dressing in clothes that make me feel good, sending this newsletter, watching New Girl, getting my feet on the earth, etc, etc.
I think we all could focus on more joy!
It felt SO good to type that all out for you! I hope you enjoyed these 4 things I'm doing more of this year. I would LOVE to hear from you & what YOU plan to do more of this year (comment below or get in touch here).
Until next time...
Glow on!
