detox checklist

  • get your juicer & blender ready! and if you don’t currently own either, a blender is the best one to start with because as you’ll learn in the detox eBook, you can still make juices if you have a blender (but can’t the other way around)! also, check the detox shop for more kitchen tool recommendations.

  • filter your (drinking) water (RO water system like this is great) and if curious to know how clean your local tap water source is, check the status of it here.

  • having 1L and 500mL mason jars make it easy for water, smoothie & juice consumption!

  • only drink before & after meals (or very small amounts during) as it dilutes your digestive juices.

  • wash produce prior to making juices & meals. check eBook for produce bath ‘how to.’

  • always use a tea strainer or a french press when steeping teas (teabags have microplastics in them).

  • limit or completely stop microwave use. use frying pan or pot on stovetop with a splash of water for re-heating items. if you do need to use a microwave, make sure you’re standing at least a few meters away when in use.

  • rinse grains, beans & legumes before cooking/eating them (think: rice, quinoa, & lentils prior to boiling and chickpeas, black beans, kidney beans, etc prior to adding to meals).

  • when storing foods (leftovers, snacks, etc) use glass and/or stainless steel containers.

  • consider getting beans & tomatoes in glass jars (vs. cans). jovial is the best brand for all of this.

  • help keep your produce fresh with tips in the eBook.

  • chew your food thoroughly and slowly! digestion begins in the mouth so make sure you’re activating it there!

  • refer to the detox prep page in your eBook for more help!
